Scouts Camp at Rhydd Covert
10th - 12th October 2008
Over the weekend of 10th to 12th October, the Scouts camped at Rhydd Covert, Bewdley, next door to the West Midlands Safari Park. Scouts took part in multiple activities including archery, building fires, making woggles, wide games, bivouac building and cooking on open fires.
On the Friday night we arrived on site at 7.30, when we began setting up camp in the dark. Once everything was set up we played some games in the woods and had some supper.
On Saturday, Scouts had the opportunity to prepare wood pigeon and rabbits for the evening meal. They also built bivouacs from natural materials in small groups, and learnt how to prepare and use a fire for cooking.

Cubs Win District Swimming Gala
On Saturday 4th October, Scouts and Cubs attended the District Swimming Gala. The Cubs had a very strong team and won first prize.

Austria 2007
In April 2007 members of 3rd Wombourne Scout Group and Wombourne Explorers embarked on a weeks holiday in Oberau, Austria. Well done to all involved for a most enjoyable trip! Photos here
Leaders Climb Snowdon!
On Sunday 14th May some of the Leaders from 3rd Wombourne climbed Snowdon to raise funds for the group. Many thanks to Ian for organising the climb and for collating the photos.
