Being a Cub
Cubs are boys and girls aged 8 – 10 years. When you join 3rd Wombourne Cubs, you’ll be introduced to lots of new activities, people and things. Here’s everything you need to know.
Our Cubs meet on a Monday evening at our hut, at the same time as Beavers.
Activities and what you’ll get up to
Prepare for excitement and adventure! Try huge variety of activities surrounding areas of fitness, global and beliefs; be creative and get involved in your local community. Learn exciting outdoor skills and take part in adventurous activities, as well as camps and residential experiences. Cubs at 3rd Wombourne usually have the opportunity to take part in two nights away experiences each year.
Badges and Awards
Completing the award, challenges you to do more, learn more and be more. See what’s on offer and start your journey to the top.
Uniform and badge placement
You don’t need a uniform to join. But once you’ve settled in, you’ll start speedily earning badges, and you’ll need to know where to put them!
As a group we are proud of the uniform we wear and encourage all Scouts to wear their uniform shirt every week.
A neckerchief is provided free of charge upon investiture.
Cub leaders
All of our leaders are trained and experienced volunteers, working to make sure Scouting is safe, inclusive and accessible. Some lead the Pack week in and week out. Others visit occasionally to help run a session or drop in to share their skills.
